From the Director of Stewardship and Development

My Dear Friends,

Let me start this letter by saying “thank you.” Because of you, our donors, the Diocese of Venice has grown, spread the Word of God, and met the needs of so many.

In these difficult times, when so many are struggling financially, your continued support this year is especially critical.

There are many reasons that people give to the Catholic Faith Appeal. Some give because they love their pastors and parishes and want to help with their share of assistance to support Diocesan ministries. Some give because they passionately want to protect life, or to promote Catholic social justice. Many feel strongly about supporting seminarian education and the priests and religious men and women who dedicate their lives to serve the Church. Others give to provide for the parishes that spiritually nourish the poor. Some give because they believe in Catholic education, both in Catholic schools as well as in our religious education programs. Many others give because they believe in the wonderful work of Catholic Charities, and wish to help the “least” of our brothers and sisters. Some give simply because they love their faith and want to see it thrive and spread. Still others give because Christ has asked us to give.

Whatever your reason for contributing for the Catholic Faith Appeal, thank you again! Together we address all of these wonderful causes through contributions to the CFA. The Diocese cannot do this without good friends and faithful Catholics like you. Your generous support is a source of encouragement to your priests, your Bishop, and all those who are served by your gift.

Please, if you can, give as large a gift as possible, perhaps even more than in past years, to help us meet our growing needs, to continue the great accomplishments of the first 25 years of the Diocese, and to keep our Church a vibrant and visible beacon to light our way.

Sincerely,

Mary Campo
